South Wales Mainline Scenario Pack 1 (1998-2007)

Step back in time to the early years of privatisation with this new scenario pack for the popular South Wales Mainline route between Swansea and Bristol set between 1998 and 2007.

 

The pack contains ten highly detailed scenarios covering express passenger, stopping passenger, freight and light engine moves to give a very wide variety of service types to experience!

0Z66 1130 Alexandra Dock Jn to Severn Tunnel Jn

Brand new Class 66s have arrived in the UK, and you’ll be undertaking a short test run from Newport to Severn Tunnel Jn.

 

1F18 1450 Bristol TM to Cardiff

The train originally working a service to Cardiff has failed. You’ve been called in to prepare a replacement unit at Bristol to take it to Cardiff.

 

1L83 1730 Swansea to Paddington

Prepare your train at Landore Depot before working a train to Paddington as far as Bristol Parkway.

 

1V48 1600 Nottingham to Cardiff

Finish the journey of a Central Trains service to Cardiff Central. Due to track circuit failure, you’ll be running under degraded working.

 

2G50 0612 Cardiff to Gloucester

Prepare a commuter train for service at Canton Depot before heading out towards Gloucester.

 

5A65 1439 St Philips Marsh to Newport

Due to the failure of a HST set, you’ll be taking replacement coaches out from St Philips Marsh to Newport to restart the failed HST’s service from there.

 

5B46 1645 Bristol Parkway to St Philips Marsh

A HST set on its way to Wales failed and has made it to Bristol Parkway to unload passengers and have its front power car shutdown. You’ll be taking the empty HST to St Philips Marsh for repairs, running on one power car.

 

6B69 1500 Portbury to Aberthaw p.s

Take over a loaded coal train in the Bristol area to cross the border into Wales.

 

6F03 1029 Llanwern to Newport Docks

Steel wagons need transporting to Newport Docks from the steel works at Llanwern. But first, you’ll need to cold start your locomotive at Alexandra Dock Jn.

 

6Z37 0915 Rumney to Bescot

A possession has been taken on the slow lines between Newport and Cardiff for track renewal work. Take a train of used ballast and sleepers from the possession to Bristol Parkway.
