Chat Moss Scenario Pack 1 (2017 – 2019)

Set between 2017 and 2019, this pack contains seven scenarios between the bustling cities of Liverpool and Manchester via the busy Chat Moss line through Newton-le-Willows.

 

The pack covers a variety of services from express and stopping passenger to freight and departmental services – and even a test train!

 

The services in the pack are below:

1H92 1607 Llandudno to Manchester Piccadilly

On a dark winter night, take over a Transport for Wales service at Warrington Bank Quay to finish at Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Earlestown, Newton-le-Willows and Manchester Oxford Road en route. Year: 2018.

 

3S09 1042 Chester to Wigan LIP

Joining a RHTT service at Manchester Victoria, clear the Chat Moss line of leaves as far as Tuebrook Sidings, where another driver will take over. Due to the unavailability of the usual MPV, a top ‘n’ tail RHTT consist is being used instead. Year: 2018.

 

5H43 0540 Allerton TMD to Alderley Edge

After grabbing a coffee on the station concourse, drive an empty Class 319 from Lime St to Manchester Oxford Road, where another driver will take over to Alderley Edge. Year: 2018.

 

5Z49 0829 Edge Hill ICD to Edge Hill ICD

In September 2019, TransPennine Express introduced it’s new Class 802 Nova 1 units between Newcastle and Liverpool. Today, you’ll be undertaking the first part of a test run from Liverpool to Manchester Victoria with unit 802202. Date: 25 July 2019.

 

6E10 1123 Liverpool to Drax

You’ve joined a loaded biomass train at Olive Mount Jn to drive to Warrington Bank Quay, where the next driver will take over to Drax via Altrincham and the Calder Valley line. Your power is a GBRf Class 66. Year: 2017.

 

6Z36 0845 Doncaster to St Helens Jn

The line between St Helens Jn and Rainhill is closed for track renewal work. Deliver a load of fresh ballast to the worksite, starting from Manchester Victoria with an ex-EWS Class 66. Year: 2017.

 

9T07 1124 Manchester Victoria to Liverpool

The train originally working a service to Liverpool has failed. Finish the journey of an empty replacement service from Ardwick Depot to Manchester Victoria, then driving over to Liverpool with a Class 185. Year: 2018.
